Summit Resources

Inova hosts annual summit events for community audiences.

2025 Act on Addiction

Inova hosted two free events focused on harm reduction and community education. The events aimed to reduce stigma and promote dignity, compassion, and health.

  • During Recovery Awareness Month, Dr. Zeina Saliba, Inova’s Division Chief of Addiction, delivered a keynote on defining harm reduction, debunking myths, and fostering connection through storytelling.
  • For National Substance Use & Misuse Prevention Month, keynote speakers included Regina LaBelle, director of Georgetown’s Addiction Policy program, and Dr. David Holtgrave, senior policy advisor to the NY State Health Commissioner.

In our community, 65 percent of all adults and more than 70 percent of millennials say they know someone who struggles with addiction.
